Advanced Drawing

This is a self-paced class for students in 7th grade and up. We will meet at my home in Willow Spring, NC.

Each student chooses their project, with my input, and comes to class ready to draw from their reference photo. Skills may vary, and all ranges of artistic talents are welcome! The students may work on different projects, and I will be there to assist and offer guidance and suggestions.

Students will learn attention to detail, how to masterfully replicate and create their own artwork, and sharpen their artistic ability. They will finish class with high-quality work for a portfolio if desired. The key to any artist is PRACTICE! And they will get a lot of that in this class, as well as encouragement to step out of their comfort zone and be ambitious!

Projects are intended to take at least 4 classes to complete. and can be in any style and subject the student chooses.

It's a super fun, encouraging class where creativity is cultivated, and there is an emphasis on diligence and determination. I want each student to feel the freedom to ask for help, and also learn how to solve problems on their own. By the end of class, I hope for each student to feel encouraged by their progress and see the impressive product of their hard work!
